Feedyard Consultants to Host Team Growth & Education Workshops in June
This June, Production Animal Consultation (PAC), a group of veterinary consultants serving beef producers across the nation, and Midwest PMS, which provides supplements, commodities and nutritional consulting services, will host two workshop training events for managers and employees of feedyards and related industries.
“Leaders in our industry often fail to understand the magnitude of influence they have on those they lead,” says Quint Finney, Midwest PMS. “The emphasis is not so much on what we do but rather how we do it. Managers have a big responsibility in leading their teams. Helping people to achieve their best and be successful is hard work. We can help with that.”
Workshops will be held Wednesday, June 21, in Kearney, Nebraska, and Wednesday, June 28, in Garden City, Kansas. Attendees will hear presentations on a variety of topics from speakers Pete Anderson, Ph.D., Midwest PMS; Quint Finney, Midwest PMS; Nels Lindberg, DVM, PAC; and Dan Thomson, Ph.D., DVM, PAC.
“We all work hard inside our businesses every single day to meet the goals of the organization, but how often do we take a step back from the daily grind to deliberately work on the business?” asks Nels Lindberg, DVM, PAC. “We hope to share some thought-provoking material in these workshops to help you work on your business.”
Topics of discussion will include:
- How successful people lead
- Attracting talent to your organization
- Comprehensive onboarding
- Building your bench
- Building accountability into your culture
- Leading through transitions in ownership, leadership and expansion
Each session will take place from 1-6 p.m., followed by a group dinner and conversation. Cost to attend is $300 per person, including dinner.
“Do people follow you because they have to, or because they choose to? Because of your position, or because of who you are as a person and what you have done for them and others?” asks Pete Anderson, Ph.D., Midwest PMS. “Learn how to be a leader that delivers excellent business results and improves people’s careers and lives.”
