USDA released its April Cattle on Feed report this afternoon (U.S. Cattle on Feed Down 4%).  
 
Ron Plain, University of Missouri economist, says the April report holds lots of good numbers for cattle producers. "There was a very strong rally for cattle prices,” he says. "All, in all, this is a very positive report.”

Steve Kay, publisher of Cattle Buyers Weekly, says the numbers in this report can be regarded as neutral to friendly.
