M.H. EBY, an aluminum livestock trailer manufacturer, donated a 2018 Special Edition “Ruff Neck” Livestock Trailer for auction at the Prime Time Gala, held Saturday, June 23rd in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The winning bid of $30,000 was made by “The Dakota Border Boys” from Herreid, SD.

“We’re so excited to acquire this trailer and support such a great cause. Our kids are thrilled to say the least,” said Jason Herreid. “We can’t wait to put it to use and proudly show off the support for such a great organization. We want to thank the Gala and EBY for teaming up.”

This is the 4thth consecutive year EBY has donated a trailer to the Gala. Since inception in 2014, the Gala has generated $966,110 to Feeding South Dakota. The total contribution this year was $228,602.

“The fifth annual Prime Time Gala was a huge success in large part to the generosity of M.H. EBY Inc.,” said Ryan Eichler, President of the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Foundation. “Having access to an EBY Ruff Neck for the last 4 years has allowed us to make a donation to Feeding South Dakota for the purchase of beef larger than we could have ever imagined. The quality and reliability of the EBY product line makes it sought after and we’re so grateful to be able to anchor the auction with a Ruff Neck.”

Feeding South Dakota contributes about 16 million pounds of food annually to residents of the state – including 22,000 families and individuals and over 5,000 children each year. Because protein is one of the most satiating nutrients, eating a protein rich meal or snack can help adults and children feel full longer and help reduce snacking on empty calories.

“This is a terrific partnership for EBY,” said Travis Eby, President of M.H. EBY, Inc. “We consider it a huge honor to participate in the live auction and feel fulfilled knowing these funds are benefitting those people most in need.”

The Gala was followed by a concert featuring Diamond Rio, Tracy Lawrence and Justin Moore. Plans for the 2019 Gala are already in the works with hopes to exceed levels of prior years. For more information on the gala visit http://sdprimetimegala.com/.
