Feedyard Team Growth Workshops Scheduled For February
Two leading consulting firms are teaming up to provide an educational workshop for feedyard employees. Production Animal Consultation (PAC), a cattle consulting group serving food animal producers around the globe, and Midwest PMS, which provides supplements, commodities and nutritional consulting services, announce a new series of workshop training events in Kansas and Nebraska during February. The firms recently released the schedule of events for the afternoon and evening workshops, designed to help feedyard managers and employees improve their knowledge and skills.
“This event will be unique in the sense that participants will be exposed to not only technical information, but to presenters with real world experience that will be relatable to the people attending,” says Quint Finney, Midwest PMS. “Participants will be exposed to information and methodologies that can be put to use right away.”
Seminars have been scheduled for February 11th and 18th in Kearney, Nebraska, and February 12th and 19th in Garden City, Kansas. Topics covered will vary depending on the date, but all are designed to give guests a well-rounded picture of what it takes to run an efficient feedyard operation.
“We all continue to grow and learn on beef production, but do you find yourself struggling most with people challenges? We want to help you with your people challenges too!” says Dr. Nels Lindberg, PAC consultant and veterinarian. “We’ve designed these tracks to cater to all levels of management, so we encourage feedyards to bring multiple members so they can split up and take in all the available sessions.”

Each session will take place from 2-6 p.m., followed by a group dinner that is included in the ticket price. Cost to attend is $250 per person for 1 day of training, or $400 per person for 2 days of training.
