Jorgensen Land and Cattle (JLC), recognizing the need for data tools and analysis to help cattle producers increase performance, productivity and profit for their herd is proud to announce an investment in AgBoost to help take the platform to the next level.  As a result of this collaboration, AgBoost will be the data provider for JLC’s Ideal Beef GeneticsTM.  In conjunction with Zoetis Genomic testing and JLC’s database of phenotypes, AgBoost is proud to provide the results in an easy to use dashboard to help increase the adoption of genomic technology paired with real world phenotypic observations.

“Jorgensen Land and Cattle is excited about our new relationship with AgBoost. As part of the Ideal Beef Genetics ecosystem, AgBoost will be a critical component that delivers powerful data analysis and easy to understand visualizations to our customers,” says Nick Jorgensen, CEO of Jorgensen Land and Cattle. “Our goal is to aid our customers in making the best breeding and marketing decisions possible, and the cutting edge tools within AgBoost are a critical part of achieving that goal.”

“Having the largest seedstock producer in the United States as an investor and partner will help us spread the message of using data to make informed and accurate decisions,” says Sean Akadiri, founder and CEO of AgBoost.  “We are excited to infuse JLC’s expertise into our technology to provide cattle producers with the latest, most cost effective tool on the market today.”

Jorgensen Land and Cattle is a family owned and operated farm/ranch in Ideal, SD that is currently recognized as the largest seedstock producer in the United States. WIth over 4,500 bulls marketed annually, their genetic footprint is the largest in the US beef cattle industry. This large footprint enabled a unique collaboration with Zoetis to build a custom genetic evaluation- the Ideal Beef Evaluation. This powerful tool generates standard GEPD’s and custom indices for all bulls available for sale or lease at JLC.

AgBoost is a data analytics company that provides tools to aggregate and visually analyze big data to assist cattle producers in making intelligent decisions.  Your data has a story to tell, we give it a voice.  Livestock producers world-wide use our next-generation livestock data management technology platforms to enable selective breeding, management, and marketing decisions for animals based on genetics, performance, health, nutrition data, and other key datasets.
