Bill Rishel of North Platte, Neb., will be recognized as the 380th member of the historic, prestigious Saddle & Sirloin Gallery when his original portrait is unveiled on Sunday, Nov. 16 during the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Ky.

The Rishel Saddle & Sirloin Portrait Committee has arranged for the induction tribute speeches presented by his friends and colleagues to be livestreamed by Walton Webcasting.

To access the livestream event at 6 p.m. on Sunday, go to www.waltonwebcasting.com, choose the “Events” tab and scroll to the banner featuring Bill’s photo.

Rishel’s distinguished, unselfish service to the beef cattle industry stands as testimony to his roots. Early in life, he realized that hard work and determination were attributes needed for success in any endeavor. Always with an eye to the value of maternal inheritance, he crafted his own brand of genetic selection to produce game-changing Angus cattle that led the worldwide industry toward a more focused consumer product.

During the last 60-plus years, Rishel has received numerous honors, served in dozens of volunteer leadership roles in state and national beef organizations and with education institutions, judged numerous cattle shows and presented many impactful presentations.

“It is a privilege to know that my contributions of time, effort and ideas were vital to improving the lives of my family, community and, most importantly, the beef cattle industry for all producers across the globe,” Rishe says. “I view this honor as a lifetime achievement award at the highest level of the agricultural industry.”
