Citing growing frustration with low cattle prices while beef packers reap large profits, a grassroots campaign was announced last week seeking the support of President Donald Trump. The campaign launched Monday, Sept. 23, 2019.

The campaign, sponsored by The Western Ag Reporter, Billings, MT, was aimed at the Twitter account of President Trump, @realDonaldTrump asking for his assistance in “rebalancing the cattle markets.”

Over the first 24 hours, #FairCattleMarkets had been tweeted 4,316 times, and @realDonaldTrump had been mentioned 2,787 times. total exposure for the hashtag #FairCattleMarkets was 55,000.
