CNH Global and Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT), both companies of Fiat Group, plan to work together to expand the FPT North America dealer network through Case IH and New Holland dealers.
“We believe bringing our dealer network to this partnership is going to be a major sales feature for FPT. FPT has a great engine, with a great FPT distributor network,” says Ralph Tosi, CNH parts and service director of business and distribution development.
“What our dealers are going to bring to the partnership is the service support for OEMs, whether for business or personal purposes. We believe our dealer network is going to be a wonderful thing for growing FPT in North America.”
FPT and CNH Parts & Service will select approximately 300 dealers from the CNH family of brands to operate as authorized FPT service dealers. This will allow Case, New Holland and Kobelco Construction and Case IH and New Holland Agriculture dealerships to expand their product offerings, as well as parts and service sales for FPT engines and components.
“CNH Parts and Service will bring the full weight of the company’s parts support capability and the company’s service support capability. FPT will get the same service as the other five brands CNH Parts and Service get today. We’ll start with parts operations and as demand dictates, we’ll put FPT parts in the appropriate FPT distribution centers to support the end user and the OEMs that are out there,” Tosi says
“CNH and FPT together will become a major player in the OEM business,” Tosi adds.
