9th Gardiner ‘Meating Demand’ Sale Results

Eighty-eight progressive commercial cow-calf buyers from 18 states combined at Gardiner Angus Ranch’s 9th “Meating Demand” sale held Monday, May 6.

Gardiner Angus 9th “Meating Demand” sale held Monday, May 6, saw 185 bidders purchase 198 registered bulls and 194 GAR-influenced, elite bred commercial heifers. Eighty-eight buyers from 18 states completed the sale in two hours. (Complete sale report here.)

High-selling bull was GAR Black Gold, a 14-month-old bull that sold to Rich Blair, Blair Brothers, Vale, S. D., for $45,000. Two bulls, Lots 22 and 51, sold for $20,000 each to Jason Faria, FB Genetics, Dumas, Texas, and Doug Gerber, Gerber Land & Cattle, Richmond, Ind., respectively.

Bidding was active on 19 groups, 194 head, of elite, Method Genetics tested, bred commercial heifers. Longtime GAR commercial customers, representing the entire spectrum of quality beef production typically compete to add genetically elite heifers to their cow-calf operation. Sellard Farms had the winning bid on the high selling Group #1, at $4,000 per head.
