Beef Profit Tracker: Cutout Prices Up to Average $375.99/cwt

Slaughter cattle prices took a breather with the 5-Area Direct price averaging $235.99/cwt. last week and down $4/cwt from the prior week.

However, the Comprehensive Beef Cutout gained nearly $8.50/cwt from prior week to average $375.99/cwt.

The estimated feeding margin last week averaged $754.72/head and down from $839/head the prior week.

Packer margins improved somewhat with the stronger cutout value to average $209.55/head.
