National Beef Packing Company, LLC and One World Beef, LLC today announced that an agreement has been reached to sell National Beef’s Brawley, Calif. beef slaughter and processing facility to OWB.
As part of its Northeast Beef Promotion Initiative (NEBPI), the beef checkoff hosted a “Meat Your Beef” channel influencer immersion event at a modern-day beef processing plant and nearby beef feedlot in Eastern Pennsylvania on March 26 for the chef instructors and culinary students at Philadelphia Art Institute in Philadelphia, Pa.
As part of its Northeast Beef Promotion Initiative, the beef checkoff partnered with New York City based online fresh-food grocer FreshDirect on a healthy-eating campaign during the retailer’s February “Month of Love.”
The beef industry reached more than 30,000 athletes, their friends and families attending the 2015 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon Health & Fitness Expo in Manhattan March 12-14, thanks to a first-time sponsorship by the national beef checkoff, in partnership with the New York and South Dakota beef councils.
