You might save some money on your big 4th of July barbecue this year. The American Farm Bureau reporting the average cost of a summer cookout for 10 people comes in at $59.50, or less than $6 per person.
That’s down 16 cents from last year, but 8% higher compared to 2019. The biggest price increase is with strawberries. Two pints of strawberries came in at $5.30, which is up 22% from last year, due to strong demand and weather events.
