Gardiner Angus Ranch Early Bird Bull Sale Report

On Monday, 238 bidders and 116 buyers from 22 states and Mexico competed for 464 total head and helped set a new record for the Gardiner Angus Ranch Early Bird Sale.

Messer Cattle Co. LLC, paid $100,000 to invest in GAR Apex, Lot 1 in the sale. The high selling bull in the 20-month-old category was Lot 17, GAR Game Changer N5841, sold to Parker Ranch, Eddie and Karen Parker, Waurika, Oklahoma, for $20,000.

Sixty-five 20-month-old bulls sold for an average of $7,015 per head. Two hundred-nineteen 17-month old bulls sold for an average of $8,228. The 284 bulls combined for an average of $7,951 per head.

A total of 180 bred, commercial females sold for an average of $2,195 per head.
