Angus Announces Top 10 Kansas Registered Breeders

The 10 producers who registered the most Angus beef cattle in the state of Kansas recorded a total of 4318 Angus with the American Angus Association during fiscal year 2014, which ended Sept. 30, according to Bryce Schumann, Association chief executive officer.

The 10 top recorders in Kansas are: Gardiner Angus Ranch Inc, Ashland; Dalebanks Angus Inc, Eureka; Everett L Benoit, Esbon; Beran Bros, Claflin; Flying S Ranch, Saint Francis; Stratford Seedstock, Pratt; Chair Rock Bison Co LC, Greeley; Galen & Lori Fink, Randolph; Harms Plainview Ranch, Lincolnville; Mill Brae Ranch LLC, Maple Hill.         

Angus breeders across the nation in 2014 registered 298,369 head of Angus cattle. “Our year-end statistics continue to demonstrate strong demand for Angus genetics and solidify our long-held position as a leader in the beef cattle industry,” Schumann says. “These results underscore our members’ commitment to providing genetic solutions to the beef cattle industry.”
