Monday Market Sentiment: 5-Area price sees a drop
The 5-Area Accumulated Average Cattle Price fell this week from $126.55 on April 26 to $123.78 on May 3.
The panel of cattle industry experts who make up our Monday Market Sentiment had an average guess of
$127.08 per hundredweight. This week, they lowered their estimation to $123.95 per hundredweight.
Choice boxed beef saw a fall throughout the week, starting April 26 at $218.57 per hundredweight, and ending May 2 on $209.77 per hundredweight. The fall moved the 27-day average to $219.41 per hundredweight.
