The 5-Area Accumulated Average Cattle Price is moving back up this week after a decrease last week, jumping from $109.48 on December 12 up to $111.34 on December 19.
The panel of cattle industry experts who make up our Monday Market Sentiment came over in their guess last week with an average prediction of $112.32 per hundredweight. This week, the panel came in under with an average guess of $110.28 per hundredweight.
Choice boxed beef has seen an increase throughout the week, starting December 15 at $193.46 per hundredweight, and ending December 21 at $197.25 per hundredweight. This moved the 27-day average up to 189.17 per hundredweight.
