A second Arkansas man was arrested Wednesday and placed in the Ouachita County, Ark. jail as a suspect in the theft of approximately 70 head of cattle across Texas and Arkansas.

The suspect, Levi Boyd, 37, of Camden, Ark. was arrested byTexas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Special Rangers Toney Hurley and Brent Mast in Camden Ark., after the special rangers met with the Ouachita County Sheriff’s Office.

Hurley and Mast are transporting Boyd back to Texas to be placed in the Panola County jail. Boyd is facing charges of theft of livestock and theft of property.

Boyd’s arrest is directly connected to the arrest of Bradley Wayne Guthrey, 25, of North Little Rock, Ark. Guthrey was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 9 after a seven hour manhunt, and he was charged with multiple felonies after it was revealed that he was involved in the theft of the approximately 70 head of cattle and ranch equipment across Texas and Arkansas. Guthrey remains in the Panola County jail.

Boyd and Guthrey worked together to steal the cattle and property. Boyd confessed to the TSCRA special rangers that he was involved in this theft case.

TSCRA special rangers expect more charges to be filed on Boyd.

TSCRA would like to thank the Ouachita County Sheriff’s Office and the Robertson County Sheriff Chris Sanders for their assistance in this investigation.
