Gardiner Angus Ranch’s 43rd Production Sale saw a total of 874 head sell to 264 buyers from 30 states.

Lot 2, GAR Home Free, was the high-selling bull, fetching $80,000 from a 30-year GAR customer who wished to remain confidential. Lot 1, GAR Hometown Hero, sold to Dave Dockter, Mandan, N.D., for $70,000, and will partner with GAR and Select Sires in ownership.
A total of 169 20-month-old registered Angus bulls sold for an average of $9,441 per head. A total of 175 16-to-18-month-old registered Angus bulls sold for an average of $8,669 per head.
One hundred donor heifers sold for an average of $9,441 per head, while 25 bred cows averaged $6,820. One-hundred-forty-five bred heifers averaged $5,938, and eight 3-N-1 pairs averaged $13,563.
A total of 278 registered Angus females sold for an average of $8,164, while a total of 252 commercial females averaged $3,141. Overall, 652 lots (874 head) sold for a total of $6,177,100 to average $7,068.
