LIP provides compensation to eligible livestock producers who have suffered livestock death losses in excess of normal mortality due to adverse weather.

With one of the lowest beef cow inventories in decades and stronger cattle markets projected for the future, there is the potential for increased demand for replacement heifers.
Presentations will be made on preventive medicine, bull nutrition and selection, cattle handling, sprayer calibration, ryegrass evaluation, cow-calf systems and the Louisiana Master Farmer Program.
