A farm aid nonprofit is launching an effort to deliver donated hay to ranchers in flood-stricken Nebraska, resurrecting a program first used nearly two years ago to help cattle producers facing drought conditions.
Nebraskans can purchase “Good Life. Great Steaks.” T-shirts to show their pride for the state’s beef industry. The proceeds go to the food banks in Nebraska helping supply beef meals to fellow Nebraskans in need.
Laws requiring food outlets to post calorie information of menu offerings go in effect today. Restaurants, convenience or grocery stores, movie theaters and vending machines with more than 20 sites must comply.
