Double Digit Growth Expected for Beef Exports

The U.S. Meat Export Federation President and CEO Phil Seng sees tremendous trade opportunities for beef in the coming year and expects double digit growth in beef export markets. At the Cattle Industry Convention last week, he said that the industry is encouraged by the fact that the current administration is elevating the role of trade as far as their whole agenda for the government.
The current issues with poultry bans are a cause for concern, as those impact all trade including beef. The bans cause a backup of poultry onto the world market, which in turn reduces beef purchases overseas. Watch to hear more from Seng:
