How do you Define 'Meat'?

Four months after Missouri agreed to regulate the term meat, one of the nation's largest cattle producers, Nebraska, is now following suit.

Nebraska lawmakers are considering defining meat as "any edible portion of any livestock or poultry carcass or part thereof".  The move takes on the growing number of veggie burgers, tofu dogs and lab-grown meat products making their way to consumers.  Similar measures are pending in Tennessee, Virginia, and Wyoming, but don't expect it happen without a fight.

Several organizations, including the company that makes Tofurkey, have filed a federal lawsuit against Missouri, saying the law stifles competition.  Agriculture groups say its ensuring truth in advertising.
