Gardiner Angus Ranch’s 18th fall production sale, held at the ranch near Ashland, Kansas, sent 1,178 head to 169 buyers from 26 states and Mexico. The sale featured 466 lots of registered Angus bulls and females that grossed $3,357,500 for an average of $7,528 per head.

Gardiners also offered 732 head of bred commercial females that grossed $1,646,200 for an average of $2,249 per head. The sale’s total gross was $5,030,700.

Seventeen 20-month-old Angus bulls averaged $6,706; 166 18-month-old Angus bulls averaged $8,389; and 187 14-month-old Angus bulls averaged $6,588.

Nineteen bred, registered Angus cows averaged $5,632; and 57 bred, registered Angus heifers averaged $8,982.

Six-hundred-thirty-four bred, commercial Angus heifers sold in 63 groups and averaged $2,208 per head. Ninety-eight bred, commercial Angus cows sold in 10 groups and averaged $2,516 per head.
