Wildfire threats and issues continue to grow as more than 6,800 wildfires have already burned 1.7 million acres across all jurisdictions in California so far this year.

By late Monday, the fire had been pushed by strong winds across two major highways. It has burned over 191,000 acres or more than 299-square miles. At last report, the fire was only 16% contained.
