Cattle Handling and Animal Welfare Concerns Take Center Stage

Cattle handling and animal welfare continue to be a major focus for the industry. The Beef Quality Assurance program is one leg of that effort to make sure work is done in a safe, humane and efficient way. Merck Animal Health also rolling out a new program called CattleCare 365. The free training modules aim to help those in the livestock industry with training and education. The first set of classes involve cattle handling. Dr. Angela Baysinger works with North America Merck Animal Health. She talked with AgDay's Clinton Griffiths at this year's Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show.
