A total of 850 head of Angus cattle sold to 237 buyers from 31 states, Canada and Mexico on Saturday April 6, 2019, at the 40th Gardiner Angus Ranch Production Sale, Ashland, Kansas. A total of 300 Angus bulls sold for an average of $7,898 per head.

Lot 1, GAR Combustion, sold to 4 Rings Angus, Thackerville, Okla., for $120,000. The second high selling bull was GAR Ashland A733, going to Grimmius Cattle Co., Visalia, Calif. for $50,000.

A total of 333 registered Angus females sold for an average of $5,183 per head, while a total of 217 commercial females averaged $2,295. Overall, 850 lots sold for a total of $4,593,350 to average $5,404 per head.
