Wisconsin Firefighters Rescue 23 Cattle from Flood Waters
A volunteer fire department in Wisconsin helped rescue 23 cattle from flood waters.
The Albany Volunteer Fire Department got an out of the ordinary emergency call to assist with a herd of cows and calves that were stranded in rising water near Attica.
In addition to the fire department aiding in the rescue there was also emergency medical technicians (EMT) from Albany EMS on the scene. At least one animal had to be treated with oxygen by an EMT under the guidance of a veterinarian according to WMTV.
“We are here not just to help people, we are here to help everyone, including animals,” Jamie Stephenson, Albany EMS Director says.
