It’s been debated whether or not there’s a shortage of veterinarians in rural areas, with the USDA asking for nominations of areas that are in shortage. Industry experts are suggesting the rural community maybe unable to support a sustainable business model for these practitioners, or maybe veterinary technicians could be better leveraged to help fill gaps.
