KTRE reports the man believed to be responsible for stealing 36 cows from an east Texas livestock exchange has been arrested.
The Nacogdoches Sheriff's officials and the Texas and Southwest Cattle Raisers" Association identified Jerome Heath Novak as a suspect in last week's cattle rustling case and made the arrest.
The initial report said 20 cattle worth about $18,000 were stolen from the Nacogdoches Livestock Exchange. According to Sheriff Thomas Kerss, the investigation yielded a recovery of 36 cattle.
