Tonsil tests reveal no CJD

Already rare, the variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease related to BSE might be even less prevalent than previously believed. Scientists have believed more cases would turn up in Britain, but tests on more than 63,000 tonsils removed over four years failed to find any evidence of prions that cause the disease.
