Merial launches SureHealthTM certification service

Beef producers will benefit from improved knowledge about the health status of animals that they sell or buy when those animals carry a stamp of approval from the new Merial SureHealthTM program.

The world's leading animal health company has unveiled its certified bovine health program to help producers capture added value from good animal husbandry practices, according to Richard Jenkins, cow-calf marketing manager for Merial.

"SureHealth will be the industry's first health assurance program that carries the credibility of veterinarian certification," Jenkins said. "It is widely known that early, effective immunity, parasite-free status and good management enhance productivity in beef animals. Having a veterinarian certify that best management practices are followed will close the information look between buyers and sellers of animals."

Merial, manufacturer of IVOMEC® brand products and a line of advanced bovine vaccines, said that its animal certification program will be available from participating veterinarians.
