American Angus Association Sire Evaluation Report

The American Angus Association's Sire Evaluation Report is the commercial cattleman's key to sourcing high-quality Angus genetics. Produced each year in the Spring and Fall in cooperation with Iowa State University (ISU), the Sire Evaluation Report lists expected progeny differences (EPDs) for thousands of Angus sires that have been used naturally and by artificial insemination.

The American Angus Association's database of performance information contains more than 8 million individual animal records, making it the largest database of beef cattle records in the world. Both registered and commercial

producers have found the Sire Evaluation Report to be a valuable tool in making breeding decisions for their herd.

In addition to distributing a printed copy of the report each spring and fall, the American Angus Association offers a searchable online version at www.angus.org. Producers can enter "ideal" ranges of EPDs for performance and carcass traits and search the database for bulls that meet those qualifications.
